BETSY McMANUS, PAINTER AND SCULPTOR, has worked in a variety of media, including charcoal, pencil ink, acrylic, oil, casein, steel, copper and brass, the last two as decoration on steel. Born Feb. 1, 1945 in New York City, she grew up in Greenwich, Conn., amid the strong artistic influences of her family. Alfred Stieglitz, the photographer, and Georgia O’Keeffe, the painter, were her great-granduncle and great-grandaunt.
